I do agree that there are many classes that the lecture time is useless because all the professor does is summarize the chapters you are reading and then says good-bye and feels like he or she has done something. At the same time though I do not agree with dropping out of class because to me that is like quitting a job just because things are not going exactly like you want them to.

It may seem strange but I believe most of our students learn more (and more important) information outside of the classroom. Obviously this is a huge breakdown in the social contract we have between schools and the public.
